“Follow Me.” — still the best leadership advice ever.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO JESUS, THIS IS FOR YOU!

Introduction

This is not a class about religion — it’s an invitation into relationship.

If you’ve ever wondered who Jesus truly is — beyond the stereotypes, beyond church walls — start here.

You are not entering a system, but stepping into Love Himself.

These short reflections are designed to help you encounter the living Christ the One who knows you fully and loves you completely.

1. Meet Jesus —
The Lion and the Lamb

Focus: Who He truly is.

Jesus is not a distant figure in history.
He is the living Son of God — both fully human and fully divine.
The Lion of Judah, fierce in justice.
The Lamb of God, gentle in mercy.

When you meet Him, you’re not invited into a system or a self-improvement plan.
You’re invited into a relationship — one that transforms everything.

Jesus does not demand perfection from you.
His own perfection comes to live inside you
and from the inside out, He restores what was lost, heals what was broken,
and shapes you into the person you were always meant to be.

The moment you open your heart to Him, the exchange begins:
He trades your weary, broken life for His eternal one.

You are no longer alone. You are found, forgiven, and fully loved.

John 1:29 — “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
Revelation 5:5 — “See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah has triumphed.”

So… Who is Jesus?

Jesus is God’s Son — sent to show us what God looks like when He loves, forgives, and walks among people.
Jesus lived as a human, healed the sick, calmed storms, told stories that made Heaven feel close, and showed us that love is stronger than hate, light is stronger than darkness, and life is stronger than death.

He let Himself be killed for us — not because He lost, but because He chose to take all the brokenness of the world on Himself. Then He came back to life. That’s why we call Him the Savior — because He makes it possible for every person to start fresh and live free from guilt, fear, and shame.

Why We Worship Him

We worship Jesus not because we have to, but because He is Love itself.
He’s the One who never leaves, never lies, and never gives up on people — no matter their culture, religion, or past.
He’s alive, He listens, and He still changes lives every day.

What Does He Want With You

Simply this:
To be close to you.
To walk with you in your ordinary life.
To show you who you really are — how loved, valuable, and full of purpose you’ve always been.
He doesn’t want a religion from you.
He wants your heart, your laughter, your everyday moments — because He made you for relationship, not performance.

Prefer Watching Over Reading?

If you’re more of a watcher than a reader, you can get to know Jesus’ personality and what He did on earth through The Chosen — a beautifully made TV series based on the Gospels.

It brings the stories of Jesus and His friends to life in a relatable way — funny, real, and deeply moving.

Note: The Chosen is a creative, artistic interpretation of the Bible — not every scene is word-for-word from Scripture.

Actors are just actors (no worshipping them, please 😄),

and Jesus in the show points to the real Jesus — the One you can meet personally.

2. The Simple Gospel

In the very beginning, God created humanity in His own image — to walk in love, freedom, and union with Him.

But through sin, that relationship was fractured. Humanity became lost, separated from the Source of life Himself.

Yet Love refused to give up.
God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to restore what was broken.

Jesus — though fully God — laid down His divinity, came to earth as a man, and lived as we live.
He felt hunger, joy, sorrow, and pain.
He lived without sin, revealing the true face of the Father.

Then, in the greatest act of love ever known, He took our sin, shame, and death upon Himself on the Cross.
He died as a man so that all humanity could live again.

Three days later, He rose from the grave — defeating death and darkness forever.

Before returning to Heaven, Jesus promised we would never be left alone.
He gave us the Holy Spirit — God’s very presence dwelling within us — to comfort, teach, and empower us to walk in the same love that raised Him from the dead.

This is the Gospel — the Good News.
You were created for union with God.
Jesus made the way.
And the Holy Spirit now invites you to live in that oneness, freely and forever.

“Heaven as a free gift. Your sinfulness abolished. Effortless union with God. Amazing benefits! Easy, instant soul purge. Let me tell you, if the gospel you’ve heard is not too good to be true, it probably isn’t. The frequency of the gospel always inspires, always brings life and hope. The flavor and sound of the true gospel never puts rule and regulation and heavy trips on you. Never makes you feel you have to live up to any systematic expectations for acceptance.

It always encourages, always hopes, always trusts, and always loves.
— John Crowder, Mystical Union

THE GREAT EXCHANGE

Focus: Surrender, Salvation, and New Identity

The invitation of Jesus is not a demand for perfection —
it’s a call to trade lives.

At the Cross, Jesus took upon Himself everything that separated you from Love —
sin, shame, fear, striving, and death itself.
In return, He offers you His righteousness, His peace, His eternal life.

This is not a fair trade. It’s an EXTRAVEGANT one.
He gave everything so you could finally be whole.

SIMPLY PUT: ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS TO SAY "YES" TO JESUS- YOU RECEIVE EVERYTHING IN EXCHANGE.

The Exchange Itself

On the Cross, the Son of God cried out,
“It is finished.”

In that moment, every debt was cancelled.
Every accusation against you lost its voice.

Jesus absorbed the full consequence of sin so you could receive the full inheritance of grace.

He was rejected, so you could be accepted.
He was wounded, so you could be healed.
He died, so you could truly live.

This is what happens when you say yes:

  • Your past is forgiven.

  • Your spirit is reborn.

  • Your life becomes one with His.

Salvation isn’t a one-time event — it’s the beginning of a love story.
The Holy Spirit enters your life and begins transforming you from within —
restoring the image of God that was always meant to shine through you.

2 Corinthians 5:21 — “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Romans 6:4 — “Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

The Exchange Prayer

You can pray this right now, wherever you are.
Speak it aloud if you can — Heaven always listens to a sincere heart.

“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God.
I believe You came for me — lived, died, and rose again.
Today, I surrender my life to You.
I receive Your forgiveness, Your Spirit, and Your eternal life.

Teach me to walk with You daily.
Fill me with Your HOLY SPIRIT, Your Love and transform me from within.
From today on, my life belongs to You.”

Amen.

Reflection Prompt

Sit for a moment in stillness.

Notice the peace that follows surrender —
the quiet knowing that something eternal has shifted.

Ask:
“Holy Spirit, what are You exchanging in me right now?”

Write what you sense. Let His voice become real and personal.

“The old life is gone; a new life has begun.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

3. LIFE IN UNION: GOD WITH YOU

Focus: The Relationship That Never Ends

The moment you said yes to Jesus, Heaven opened —
not as a faraway place, but as a reality that now lives inside you.

You have been brought into union with God Himself —
the Father who loves you,
the Son who redeems you,
and the Holy Spirit who fills and guides you.

You are not walking toward God anymore.
You are walking with Him.

Understanding the Trinity — One God, Three Persons

God is not a lonely ruler in the sky.
He is perfect relationship — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

They are not three gods, but One — united in perfect love and purpose.

The Father is the Source — the Creator, the heart of love who designed you before time began.
The Son (Jesus) is the Word made flesh — God revealed in human form, who showed us the Father’s face and redeemed us back to Him.
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence within us — the breath of life, our Comforter, our Teacher, and the One who empowers us to live in God’s love every day.

The Trinity is divine family — and now, you are part of it.
You were never meant to live separated from this love.

John 14:23 — “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
2 Corinthians 13:14 — “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

Walking Daily with the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is not a feeling — He is a Person and the most powerful force in the whole universe.
He is the One who raised Jesus from the dead.

He speaks gently to your heart, reminds you of truth, and helps you live in God’s rhythm.

He comforts when you’re weary, convicts when you drift, and fills your days with divine peace.

When you pray, He gives you words.
When you read the Bible, He opens your understanding.
When you worship, He connects your heart to Heaven.

Life in union means you are never alone — not for a moment.

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you.
Every breath is shared with God.

The Seven Works of the Holy Spirit

  • The Holy Spirit Transforms our Lives. ...

  • The Holy Spirit Convicts sin in us. ...The Holy Spirit never accuses or condemns — He gently reminds us who we really are: pure, loved, and holy, so we turn away from sin and choose truth.

  • The Holy Spirit Guides Us to the Truth. ...

  • The Holy Spirit Empowers Us to Proclaim Christ. ...

  • The Holy Spirit Gives Us Spiritual Gifts. ...

  • The Holy Spirit Empowers Us to Worship. ...

  • The Holy Spirit Leads Us.

Romans 8:11 — “The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you.”
Galatians 4:6 — “Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba, Father!’”

Practicing His Presence

This relationship grows through awareness.
The more you turn your attention toward Him, the more you sense His nearness.

You can simply say throughout the day:
“Holy Spirit, I love You.”
“Jesus, thank You for being here.”
“Father, I belong to You.”

These small moments keep your heart aligned with Heaven.
Over time, you begin to live from His presence — not striving for it.

Reflection Prompt

Pause and breathe deeply.

Ask:
“Holy Spirit, where are You moving in my life right now?”

Wait for the whisper — it may come as a word, a picture, a sense of peace.

Journal what you feel.
This is how friendship with God begins.

“For in Him we live and move and have our being.”
— Acts 17:28

4. NEW TO THE BIBLE: GOD’S LIVING WORD

Focus: Learning to Hear God’s Voice through Scripture

The Bible is not just an ancient text.
It is God’s living breath captured in words.

Every page reveals His character, His promises, and His heart toward you.
When you read, you’re not studying information — you’re encountering a Person.

The same Spirit who inspired these words now lives in you.
He will open your understanding, one verse at a time.

Hebrews 4:12 — “The Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.”

Why the Word Matters

Scripture keeps you rooted in truth. Truth is Jesus.
It teaches you who God is, who you are, and what love looks like in action.

The enemy of your soul always tries to twist truth, but the Word anchors you.
It nourishes your spirit the way food nourishes your body.

Reading the Bible is not a religious duty — it’s a daily conversation.
Each time you open it, you’re saying, “Speak, Lord, I’m listening.”

How to Read the Bible with the Holy Spirit

  1. Begin with prayer.
Whisper: “Holy Spirit, open my heart to hear Your voice.”
    Expect Him to respond.

  2. Read slowly.
Don’t rush to finish; pause when a phrase stirs you.

  3. Reflect.
Ask, “What does this show me about God’s love? What does this mean for my life?”

  4. Respond.
Let what you read shape your next step — a word of forgiveness, an act of kindness, a new way of thinking.

  5. Repeat.
Over time, Scripture becomes the language of your heart.

Where to Start

The Bible has sixty-six books, written across centuries, yet all point to Jesus.
Here’s a simple path to begin your journey:

  • Gospel of John → see the divinity and compassion of Jesus.

  • Ephesians → discover your new identity in Christ and what grace really means.

  • Matthew,   Mark,   Luke watch how Jesus lived among people.

  • Psalms → learn honest prayer and worship.

  • Proverbs → gain daily wisdom for practical life.

You don’t have to understand everything at once.
Revelation unfolds as relationship deepens.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

NEXT STEPS: GROWING IN COMMUNITY

Focus: Walking Out Your New Life with Jesus

You were never meant to walk this journey alone.
From the very beginning, God’s design has always been family.

When you said yes to Jesus, you became part of His Body — the living Church.
Not a building, not a program, but a people — sons and daughters learning to love together.

You now belong to something eternal:
a Kingdom family that stretches across nations and generations.

Ephesians 2:19 — “You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of His household.”

Step 1 — Be Baptized

Baptism is your public declaration of faith — a symbol of dying with Christ and rising with Him into new life.

It doesn’t make you loved; it reveals that you already are.

When you go under the water, your old life is left behind.
When you rise, it’s a picture of resurrection — Heaven celebrating your rebirth.

Romans 6:4 — “We were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may live a new life.”

Note: If you live in Finland or Scandinavia and need help getting baptized near you, contact us and we try to connect you with near by Church family.  Our team can personally come to baptize you in Helsinki area.

Baptizm is fully free- it is a celebration, that we are more than honored to be part of with you.

Step 2 — Find Spiritual Family

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to a Christ-centered community
people who live out love, truth, and grace.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to belong.
The Church is a gathering of imperfect hearts being perfected by Love Himself.

Whether it’s a home fellowship, local congregation, or small prayer group —
look for the fragrance of Jesus in the people you meet.
Where there is humility, kindness, and joy, His Spirit is there.

Note: If you live in Finland or Scandinavia and need help finding Church family near you, contact us and we try to connect you with near by Church family.

Disclaimer: If you  have suffered from spiritual, religious or emotional abuse, we highly recommend connecting with us, so we can find you the right help you need. Our team has walked through these issues for over decades and full heartedly want to welcome you as part of the physical family, if you live near Helsinki area.  We can also help to connect with Spirit-filled mental health professionals, if there is need.

Step 3 — Keep Growing in the Spirit

Spiritual growth is a lifelong unfolding.
The more time you spend with God — in prayer, Scripture, and community —
the more His character forms within you.

Don’t rush the process. Trust His lead.
You are learning to live from Heaven’s rhythm.

Every day with Him is new.
Every step forward is grace.

Philippians 1:6 — “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Reflection Prompt

Ask the Holy Spirit:
“Who are the people You are calling me to walk with?”

Write down any names or impressions that come.
Pray over them — and trust God to connect you with your spiritual family.

You’re Home Now!

You’ve met Jesus — the Lion and the Lamb.
You’ve experienced the Great Exchange.
You’ve begun to walk in union with God and discovered His living Word.

This is only the beginning.
Heaven celebrates you.
The Kingdom within you has just begun to unfold.

WE LOVE YOU!
